Summer Visitors on Rivers and Reservoirs

Summer is fast approaching, and activity in and around regulated rivers, reservoirs and watercourses is increasing. With more people enjoying outdoor activities on and around the water, the need for clearly marking hazardous water currents is more important than ever.

Aqua Guardian marking and safety lines are available for rapid delivery.

As the summer season approaches, tourists travelling by car, with canoes and kayaks strapped to the roof, are once again heading towards rivers and reservoirs. Do you have all areas with potentially hazardous water currents properly identified and marked? If not, we have Aqua Guardian marking and safety lines available from stock for fast delivery.

The Aqua Guardian marking and safety line was developed in cooperation with Statkraft in 2010. Since then, nearly 50,000 metres of marker line have been supplied to rivers and reservoirs across Norway and Sweden.

In the event of an accident, the marking and safety line provides a continuous series of floats that a person in the water can use to pull themselves from one float to the next and reach safety.

The marker lines are supplied with 12 mm rope, but can also be supplied with 8 mm stainless-steel wire for applications requiring increased durability and strength.
