The silt curtains are delivered pre-assembled and connected with ropes at five-metre intervals. They are normally packed in bulk bags or on pallets, with one end accessible at the top, allowing for efficient and controlled deployment directly from shore or from a vessel. During installation, the flotation elements are filled with air, ensuring optimal buoyancy and stability. This provides correct positioning at the water surface and facilitates a fast and safe installation, even under challenging conditions.
For projects requiring environmental monitoring, the silt curtains can be combined with turbidity meters that continuously document water quality both inside and outside the enclosed area. This provides valuable documentation of the effectiveness of the measures and contributes to the safe execution of works in sensitive aquatic environments.
TST Sweden is one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of protective equipment for extreme work conditions. TST’s motto is “Saving Lives”, supported by the core values Smooth, Ambitious, Futuristic, and Energetic - quite simply, S.A.F.E.
When working with water under high pressure, eye injuries can occur at pressures as low as 7 bar, and skin injuries at around 80 bar. A typical pressure washer operates at 200 bar or more.
With ultra-high pressure (UHP), or water jetting, pressures can reach 1200 bar or higher - enough to cut through concrete. It is therefore not difficult to imagine the kind of injuries such forces can inflict on the human body.
Vassfall represents TST and offers these series of protective equipment for those working with high-pressure water.
ELITEOPERATOR – PPE for high-pressure water jetting up to 3,000 bar/43,500 psi
10/28 – PPE for high-pressure water jetting up to 2,800 bar/40,000 psi
PROOPERATOR – PPE for high-pressure cleaning up to 500 bar/7,500 psi
