Waterway Signs
We supply waterway signs either as standalone figure signs or with supplementary plates, all in accordance with NVE’s templates.
Good signage is the first step toward ensuring waterway safety. In some cases, signs alone will meet the need, but more often they are used together with other measures such as barriers, marker lines, and buoys. Waterway signs can also be mounted on buoys for even better marking of dangerous currents or unsafe ice conditions.
Information Signs and Other Advisory Signs
Vassfall customizes information signs. These signs are meant to inform about potentially dangerous water currents or unsafe ice in the area—while also wishing visitors a pleasant onward journey.
We also supply reservoir signs and minimum flow signs.
We recommend that all hydropower producers and dam owners establish a comprehensive signage plan that provides a complete overview of:
The placement, purpose, and content of the signs
Routines for inspection and maintenance
Guidelines for replacement and revision of the plan
